Our senior personnel have over 100 years of operational experience, both office and field based. We can supply consultants and/or manage your operation from the construction phase all the way through to initial production.

Our senior personnel within WPM are:

• Bernie Cabot
  Bernie has over 24 years of experience in the industry, both on the national and international scene. He graduated from SAIT in 1988 with a diploma in Petroleum Engineering Technology and began consulting to oil and gas companies in 1993. In 1997 he co-founded a private oil and gas company and managed all operations for this company until it was sold in 2001. His main focus has been on drilling, completion, workovers and regulatory compliance. Bernie has also designed and managed the installation of minor facilities, pipeline projects and the day-to-day production operations.
  
  
• Eric Pedersen
  Eric has over 30 years of experience in drilling supervision in Canada and internationally. He has worked in the Canadian Arctic and offshore in the North Sea, South China Sea, Mediterranean, Red Sea, and Persian Gulf. He has extensive onshore experience in Algeria, Iran, Oman, and Venezuela. Eric joined WPM in 2006 and with his vast international experience and his attention to detail has been a great asset to our organization. His primary focus is designing and implementing drilling programs.
  
  
• Gord Besler
  Gord has 15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry starting as a roughneck on a drilling rig. In 1997 he joined Lyse Petroleum Ltd. working in production accounting, operations and land. Gord is VP Business Development with WPM and manages our HSE program and the placement of consultants with WPM clients. He joined Western Petroleum Management in early 2007.
  
  
• Don Keith
  Don has over 18 years of experience in the oil and gas construction industry. Don is very familiar with managing construction projects and the complicated regulatory process involved with construction and reclamation projects within western Canada.
  
  
• Joe Ilg
  Joe brings 22 years experience in the oilfield industry: 17 years in production operations in the Valleyview area and 5 years consulting. Joe's years of consulting have been in wellsite completions, facilities and pipeline construction. His industry experience includes multi-zone gas well completions, 3000m horizontal sour workovers, heavy oil directional wells in Lloydminster area, and 15 plus years of both sweet and sour wells. He also brings CT cleanout and fracturing.
